The Dept. of Islamic Studies at MIU arranged a Freshers’ Reception 🌹🌷🌹

The Department of Islamic Studies at Manarat International University arranged a Freshers' Reception for newly admitted students of Fall 2022 semester. The program was held today, October 4, 2022 (Friday) in the Cordova seminar hall of the university's Gulshan Campus. Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of MIU, was present as the chief guest, while Hafizul Islam Mian, Treasurer (In-Charge) and Md. Manirul Islam, Registrar, were present as special guests, and the event was started with a welcome speech by Dr. Muhammad Obaidullah, Head and Associate Professor of the Islamic Studies Department. Professor Dr. Mohammad Mainul Haque, Department of Islamic Studies, Islamic University, was the keynote speaker. The program was presided over by Dr. Muammad Ruhul Amin, Associate Professor of the Islamic Studies Department, while renowned Islamic scholar Professor Dr. Meer Manjur Mahmood and Professor Dr. Zubair Mohammad Ehsanul Haque were the discussants. Among others, Md. Mahabub Alom, Head and Associate Professor of the Business Administration Department; Dr. Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, Coordinator and Associate Professor of the Center for General Education; and Dr. Abu Aiub Mohammad Ibrahim, Associate Professor of the Department of Islamic Studies, were present. At the beginning of the program, the new students were welcomed with flowers. Finally, among the current students of the department, those who have achieved good results, succeeded in various co-curricular activities, and assisted in the admission process were recognized by the department. Dr. Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad conducted the program.
