Intra Department Cricket Tournament 2024, organized by EEE Dept., held at MIU Intra Department Cricket Tournament 2024, organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, was held at Manarat International University. The tournament was held on Tuesday (5 November 2024) at the Ashulia campus playground. In the final match, the Tesla defeated the Fusion Strikers by 3 wickets and became champion. In the group stage of the cricket tournament, the top two teams in the points table, Tesla and Fusion Strikers, participated in the final. After winning the toss, Fusion Strikers balled first, and Fusion Strikers got 38 runs in the allotted 8 overs by losing 6 wickets. However, in the next half, the Tesla snatched the victory with three wickets in hand. Dr. Md. Moazzom Hossain, Registrar of MIU, inaugurated the tournament in the morning. A prize-giving ceremony was held after the game, where Md. Ershadul H. Choudhury, Professor, Department of EEE; K. M. Aktheruzzaman, Head of the Department; Rafiqul Islam, Assistant Professor; Mir Md. Aminuzzaman, Assistant Professor; Abdul Matin, Additional Director, Student Affairs Department; Tahrima Ashraf, Lecturer; and Md. Din Islalam Lecturer were present, and they presented trophies and medals to the champion and runner-up teams. Kamrul Hassan was awarded man of the tournament for his aggressive and exciting strokeplay and his match-winning qualities.
