MoU signed between MIU and CIUD to conduct Chinese Language Course at MIU

A memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Manarat International University (MIIU) and Confucius Institute, University of Dhaka (CIUD) to conduct the Chinese Language Course at MIU. The signing ceremony of the agreement was held today (Wednesday, June 26, 2024) in the office of the Vice-Chancellor of MIU at Gulshan Campus in the presence of Professor Dr. Md. Abdus Sabur Khan, Vice-Chancellor (Acting), MIU. Dr. Md. Moazzom Hossain, Registrar, MIU and Confucius Institute, University of Dhaka (CIUD) director Dr. Yang Huik signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. Dr. Muhammad Obaidullah, Dean, School of Arts and Humanities and Head, Department of Islamic Studies; Md. Mahabub Alom, Dean, School of Business and Economics and Head, Department of Business Administration; Ahmad Mahbub-ul-Alam, Head, Department of English; Dr. Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, Director, Center for General Education (CGED); Dr. Sabiha Sultana, Assistant Professor, CGED; Md. Toha and Gaous-E Afia Mohua, Lecturer of CGED were present at the signing ceremony. According to the MoU, the two institutions will undertake to conduct a Chinese Language Course at MIU under the supervision of Center for General Education (CGED), MIU. CIDU will provide Chinese Language Teacher to CGED, MIU and after completion of the course, certificates will be provided to the students. Director of CIUD also agreed to organize a seminar on the prospects of learning Chinese on July 14, 2024, at the Gulshan Campus of MIU.
