MIU holds Discussion and Dua Programme to observe Independence Day 2022

Manarat International University organized a Seminar and Dua Programme in the Cordova Seminar Hall of MIU Gulshan Campus on 26 March 2022 (Saturday) on the observance of Independence Day and National Day 2022. Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of MIU, was present as the chief guest, while Hafizul Islam Mian, Treasurer (In-Charge), was a special guest. The program was presided over by Ahmad Mahbub-ul-Alam, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English. Md. Manirul Islam, the Registrar, addressed the welcome speech. The chief guest expressed that even after a long time since our independence, we have not yet achieved the desired goal for which the people of this country participated in the Liberation War. We have to work together to implement the dreams of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for the betterment of the country and country's people. He encouraged the young generation to know about the true glorious history of our Liberation War in 1971. Among others, Dr. Nargis Sultana Chowdhury, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Pharmacy; K. M. Aktheruzzaman, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of EEE; Rokeya Sultana, Assistant Professor, & Head, Department of Business Administration; Dr. Muhammad Obaidullah, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Islamic Studies and faculties of different departments, students, and officers were also present on the program. Abdul Matin, Additional Director, Admission, Public Relations and Students Affairs, anchored the program, where Dr. Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, Assistant Professor and Coordinator, CGED recited a poem about the independence of Bangladesh. Rofiqul Islam, Sr. Assistant Registrar sang a patriotic song on the program amd Farzana Zaman, Assistant Professor, Department of English, mesmerized the audience by reciting her self-composed poem about the independence of Bangladesh. At the end of the program, Dr. Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, Assistant Professor, and Coordinator, CGED, conducted a Dua'a session for the peace of the departed souls of the martyrs of the liberation war.
