Colorful Celebration of 22 Years of the English Department at MIU The Department of English at Manarat International University (MIU) celebrated its 22nd Department Day with great enthusiasm on Tuesday (26 August 2025) at the auditorium of the university’s Permanent Campus, Ashulia. The most attractive and significant part of the celebration was the inaugural seminar, where two of the country’s renowned motivational speakers, Dr. Nabil, Chairman of Dr. Nabil Academy, and his brother Dr. Nobel, MBBS, BCS, delivered inspiring speeches. They explored thought-provoking perspectives on how to pursue a dream career not only for worldly success but also with a vision for the hereafter. The program was jointly organized by the Department of English and the MIU English Club. Dr. Nabil attended as the Keynote Speaker, while Dr. Nobel was present as the Guest Speaker. The event was graced by Professor Dr. Md. Mijanur Rahman, Dean of the School of Engineering, Science and Technology, and Dr. Abu Ayub Md. Ibrahim, Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities, as special guests. Tasmia Moslehuddin, Head of the Department of English, chaired the program. Among others, Mohammad Nazmul Haque Shikder Shiblu, Assistant Professor of the Department, and Syeda Tartila Sanjida, Lecturer and Moderator of the MIU English Club, were present. Mashiur Rahman, President of the English Club, conducted the program. As part of the celebration, a farewell ceremony was also arranged for the outgoing batch of the department. The distinguished guests presented crests to the graduating students, while certificates were awarded to participants of various activities. The day-long celebration reflected the vibrant spirit of the English Department, marking 22 years of academic excellence and cultural contribution at MIU.
